Here you can find the resources for Session Four and Five, in which we hear how we are Beloved of God, how “we all need a simple tune” (reading begins around 2:50) and how we can put tunes to use by carrying them along with us in service to creation and one another.
Then we sing! HERE!
Session Five is a recap of both the Sam Kien U Ki and Bija Mantras (video begins around the three-minute mark), as well as some more singing. It opens with a cut from my upcoming album called At the Ending of the Day, with a text by John Philip Newell, and the amazing Chris Dingman on vibraphone. Look up Philip and Chris and you’ll be glad you did! Session Five
More on the new album (Banquet of Love) can be found on my Patreon page. Scroll past the membership requests to the posts and you can listen to all the tunes I’ve got so far.
This is my first retreat since I had Covid last March, so please forgive the imperfect singing; I’m working my way back to health and am still in PT twice a week. But I’m getting there, and with your prayers and support, I’ll be just fine soon. Thanks for all the prayers and kind thoughts.
Deep thanks to Mary Davenport for her assistance throughout the weekend in recording and also for singing along with me! Thanks also to Mark Bozzuti Jones for inviting me to Trinity Retreat Center, and to the entire staff for their incredible hospitality!
