I’ve been contracted to walk with the good people of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Laconia, NH as they expand their knowledge of how racism operates in our country. Over the course of two weekends we’ll meet on Zoom and do some inquiry around antiracism. They’ve been doing some work around the topic and have been reading lots, but how does racism bind us all and how do we develop resilience as we move through the discomfort inherent in our conversations about white supremacy? How do we allow ourselves to let go of the internal stories we continue to tell ourselves and the systems that no longer serve us? How do we reclaim and/or deepen our spiritual practices so we can leave behind that feeling of overwhelm so familiar to us all since the spring?
This is a 3-day retreat in August, with a follow up at a later date. Pray for us as we learn how to move forward together.
