Berea College, Pt. II: Carter G. Woodson Center for Interracial Education

Noon –  A lunch presentation on race for faculty and staff at the Carter G. Woodson Center for Interracial Education. There will be singing, talking, listening, and noticing. Can’t wait.

Wed. 7pm – This week the Triota society is leading events each night for Take Back the Night: Express Yourself. I’ll lead a short workshop focused on preventing and healing from sexual assault and harassment.

Have I mentioned that Berea College has been integrated since the 1860s? Yes, you read that right; the 1860s.
Here’s Berea’s great Commitment: “To assert the kinship of all people and provide interracial education with a particular emphasis on understanding and equality among blacks and whites.”

Check out Thursday’s schedule below.
