I couldn’t have done this project without absolutely everybody, but three incredible humans carried the biggest load: Ike Sturm (former director of St. Peter’s Jazz Vespers and amazing bass player with great friends), Mollie Nichols (former choir director at The Church of the Heavenly Rest, NYC), and Mark Dann, recording engineer and fine musician. Songs 2-6 were recorded live at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, NYC, during a Jazz Vespers Service.

  • Eternal Spirit by Ana Hernandez and Helena Marie, CHS

Music has the power to direct consciousness. Acoustic music emits waves of sound that touches us in ways we cannot imagine until we find ourselves remembering our own dreams and expectations. This is a collaboration with Sr. Helena Marie, CHS. This is the music that helps us to pray. It began as a series of improvisations in many different communities, and we hope our reflections may help you to relax, explore your inner voice, and bring you blessings and peace.
